2020 Africa Conference

Women's World Day of Prayer South Africa will host in 2020 the African Conference.

Theme: ” Serving in God’s power”

Empowered Women - Empowered Communities

Date: 19 – 23 October 2020

Venue: Lagoon Beach Hotel, Cape Town

Update: 19 August 2020

Nobody could foresee the effect that Covid-19 pandemic would have on the whole world in 2020. Although, at this stage, the rate of Covid-19 infections in South Africa is decreasing, South Africa is still the fifth highest infected country in the world. Furthermore, as with most countries we expect a second peak of the Covid-19.

Across the globe, plenty of countries still have restrictions on international travel and South Africa is no different with our international borders that are still closed with commercial travel that is prohibited. There are also several restrictions on spiritual gatherings.

Unfortunately, due these restrictions, the National Committee of the Women’s World Day of Prayer had no other option than to cancel the planned Africa Conference and the 90th Jubilee which was supposed to take place in Cape Town during October 2020.

Women’s World Day of Prayer South Africa will refund all those who has already paid any monies for registration of the Africa Conference

Update: 7 July 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic had and still has a devastating effect on the whole world. It is by far not over and Africa has not reached its peak yet. Unfortunately it will take a long time before we will be allowed to travel for non-essential services and for open meetings with a mass of people gathering. At this stage it seems as if we have no other option than to cancel the Africa Conference, scheduled for October 2020 in Cape Town. We are currently discussing our options available and we will let you know as soon as the final decision is taken. We request to please hold back with your registration and do not pay the deposit.
